Max Billmyer Joins Our Firm
Max Billmyer has been into public accounting ever since the beginning of his professional career. He’s honed his accounting and tax skills in places like Somerville & Company, in Huntington WV, and W.D. Sanders & Company, PC, in Charlottesville VA. Max became the primary contact for the W.D. Sanders & Company, PC Charlottesville office when Bill Sanders moved to Maui, Hawaii at the end of 2017. He remained the primary Charlottesville office contact upon John Reilly and Associates acquisition of the clients and business assets of W.D. Sanders & Company, PC at the end of 2018. Then, in November 2019, John Reilly sold the accounting practice. During negotiations, Max determined that the new firm’s goals differed from his own.

Max Billmyer has joined our firm as a partner track Senior Associate. In July 2014, he originally earned his CPA license in West Virginia. In May 2016, he became licensed in Virginia. Max completed his undergraduate and graduate academic studies at Marshall University. In May 2011, he achieved his M.S. in Accountancy.
Max is an ambitious individual. Outside of work, Max has served as President of the Thomas Jefferson Chapter of the Virginia Society of CPAs. He also has a passion for the music business. In his spare time, Max provides pro bono efforts to Starr Hill Presents, a local music promotion company, and to WhizzbangBAM, a booking and management agency out of Huntington, WV.
Max’s areas of practice
Max’s areas of practice include accounting, personal, trust, estate and business income tax preparation. He enjoys working with clients on a one on one basis to help improve their financial reporting to assist them in effectively and efficiently running their daily business functions.
